It takes a long time to heal. Its been a year and 6 months for me and I still have major setbacks. I found DS in July and it truly did save me. I have met so many awesome people here and it really does help to share your feelings with those who know what you are going through. Stick around and hang in there!

Rejected - let me join all the others in welcoming you - you have come to the right place for support, hugs, encouragement, advice and the occasional giggle. We do have a sense of humor even when dealing with the crap.

Hope we can help you on the journey - or should I say roller coaster ride, because that is what it is like. You will have ups and downs and the occasional curve, but we will be there for you.

Welcome, r-man. You'll definitely find many emotions and many stories on DS; and, if your experience is like mine, you'll be amazed at how similar some stories are to yours. I have found it great to know that my feelings are not unique and that things can improve. People on DS have been so encouraging to me. Hang in there, and hope this website is very helpful to you.

Thank you everyone, for the kind welcome. It is nice to see that there are very genuine people here...it's actually very refreshing. I sounded like a whiner these past 24 hours, so I'm sorry. I want to assure you that I am not the 'crybaby' type of person. I have been functioning as normal, with the exception of feeling like my gut was going to explode, like the movie "Alien." Just kidding. What I'm trying to say, is that I can appear to be o.k. on the outside, while actually feeling like crap on the inside. Thanks again. I also wish all of you the best in your recovery from this stupid crap...sorry about the cussing...

LOL rejected. Be forwarned, you have not seen anything yet as far as cussing. I think some of the people on here use to be sailors or something. LOL

We all cry, vent and whine from time to time. It's part of the healing and are bless you would feel at ease to express yourself. ((((((HUGS)))))
