Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

Honestly, if he doesn't contact you it's over. If you contact him at this point you're just becoming stalker-ish.
Lenoire gave you what I consider a realistic assessment of the state of things, and others gave you advise on how to help yourself get through this. Take it.
Yes it sucks, but that's why everyone else is here.
This is not easy, but when someone wants to leave you have to respect their wishes.
If she wants to push him further away and get hurt all over again, your advise is definitely the way to go.
Sometimes people need to back off.
Definitely do take care of yourself. Definitely DO NOT contact him. Sending you much love.
I think he will come back it's just the whole no talking thing sucks cuz he's my best friend and I want to tell him everything that happens ya know.
And yes that pic is me
I agree with the others. No contact rule applies.
At the end of a relationship I continued to see my ex. She would even come by every Sunday morning to visit. It kept me from moving on, it also really messed up my emotions in ways I can't begin to tell you.
Don't prolong agony, it sucks!
Best to move on with the idea that he is out. How many stories have you read here of the back and forth relationships. Its very destructive.
Like others have said, get out and have some fun. Push yourself, and start planning your future without him.
It really will be OK. I would lay down money that there is a much better future waiting for you.
Just open the door.
Sometimes the best thing to do is take a step back and try to be single for a while. Its really hard to stop thinking about the other person, but it will help in the long run. Reconnect with old friends, find a new hobby, fill your time with things you love to do. Get out of the house and be with people or go places. Definitely agree on the no-contact. Also, if he comes back around, you might want to stop, think twice, and take a little while before deciding on if you are interested in getting back together. Letting someone yo-yo back and forth on you sucks big time.
Once you are happy and at peace with yourself as a single, you have a much better filter for dating new people. Think of it like grocery shopping. You don't want to go shopping when you're hungry.
