Mine hurt me terribly, but I would like to think that there is still hope. Maybe it's like previously suggested--that this was only my first... I don't know. All I know is that I don't want to believe in a future with no hope.

I'm not emotional "health" to enter a relationship....so many people rush into a relationship when they are not emotionally ready.

I'm actually discussin getting married at some point with my girlfriend now, and we have been looking at rings for a few weeks.... so the answer to that is yes. I can live alone, I don't need anyone to live, but I am much happier and feel more secure in marriage, so why stay single out of fear of being single again if it doesn't work out with a new wife?

I also re-married my first wife a second time, so I am not claiming to be a smart person :)

I would get married again, I want to get married again someday. Just next time I hope I find the right one.

I'm with a few others here...I won't give up hope. I don't plan to live alone for the rest of my life and, while I'm no perfect christian, the thought of a long-term extramarital sexual relationship isn't what I'm about, nor is a long-term committed non-sexual romantic relationship.

I plan to one day remarry and live happily ever after, with conflict at times and joy at others. I think that's realistic. I just know I'll never again be in a relationship with someone who isn't self-supporting first. Also, it's gonna be based on friendship developed over time, not just a hot bod, beautiful smile, and thank you very much we'll base the friendship on sexual satisfaction.

Two marriages and two dismal failures.

All I ever wanted was a good country lady who would stay home, give me lots of babies and take care of running the houshold while I went to work. someone whom I could trust completely and I would treat her like a queen.

Now, I am 57 years old, divorced twice and have been lucky enough to meet just such a lady. (tho the baby making days are well past) She is my lover, my soul mate and my best friend and we will be married as soon as it is possible.

Very good question...Things that make go HMMMmm!First year after divorce, emotions high and low,one extreme to the other,lost my heart first guy I met, instant yes to get married again.He broke me so bad, I compare every date I have had to him, till now(we didnt even make it two months as boyfriend/girlfd,even tho we spent 6 mons talking).2nd year after divorce, so lonely, and numb and then angry HELLL NOOOOOOO,would not get married again.This is my third year after my divorce.Really like living on my own.Hate nighttime still, sometimes really hate the empty bed.Looooong Sighhh, really tired of having high libdo and just toys.But they are safer.What really sucks, I was alone in my marriage last three-four years of it.Now, that Im alone truly.Do I really want to be involved, worried what he is thinking,trying to please him, yada yada.It is lonely to just be selfish, but Im trying to reconfigure what I want and what I enjoy.I dont know, hope is eternal right?sorry for the tirade.LOL
