i felt that way til i found this site..now i kinda feel like the whole world is divorcing

Stacey- I definitely feel the same. It is hard. Alot of my friends and family are divorced but they are not living where I am. I don't have many friends here. The one's I do have are married. It is very lonley. I don't know how or where to fit in. You are not alone in this boat. Here for you anytime. I am sorry for what you are going through. I know we will not be in this stage forever. I feel like I fit in best here at DS. For now this is where I am comfortable. Take great care.

Yup, the alone thing is tough. My ex seems to be doing ok. Oh that's right he was dating 2 months after our seperation. He's an idiot. I have no regrets divorcing him. I just wonder where I fit in, and not put anyone in the middle. So I don't talk much about my situation except on DS and with a few close friends. I am lonely and don't know where I fit at social things.

This is so hard!
I've lost friends because of the divorce, (his friends wives).
My two best friends are great, but married with small kids. They don't get it.

I left a big chunk of my support network when I moved back here from AZ.
Now I'm working on fitting in on my own terms. Easier said than done.

If 50% of marriages end in divorce, where are all those people? I don't know anybody divorcing right now in my little town! It's crazy..I feel like I live in Stepford!

I've found that friends and family are wonderful. In fact they are the only reason I've survived some of the darkest days. It's hard though to let them help you. To let them in. Because you feel so crappy and weird. But try really hard to let your guard down where others are concerned. I think you will find that most people LIKE to be helpful. They LIKE to be a soundingboard. Ask for advice, they will wrap you in their arms like a hen to a chick. :)

I am having a hard time with the whole age thing...most people my age are just starting a family. All the other room parents are pushing 50. Or is it just that I am so dang weird? lol

I know what you mean. I'm 31 and I have no children. I live in the midwest.
So I am the subject of pity and head scratching.
