Its bad enough knowing I was dumped by the woman I was with for 8 years. But the most demoralizing feeling is knowing Im single and lonely, while shes having the time of her life, seemingly, in her rebound relationship. Thinking about the woman I was with and loved having sex with another guy now is a shitty feeling. Im trying to work on me, and go through the grief process, but it sucks. I just wonder are people like my ex who jump right into another relationship really happy, or will it just turn out worse for them because they are masking the pain from the previous relationship. It just makes me sick at the thought of her with somebody else already. I must admit, I hope she ends up in misery. Sometimes I think I should just find a rebound myself, but then I know my heart just wouldn't be into it? Does anybody have thoughts on this whole situation and rebound relationships?

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
You work on yourself and don't be too quick to jump into another relationship because your ex did. You will be in a more stable relationship when you are ready. Don't worry about what your ex is doing. She may seem happy on the outside but is likely unhappy on the inside.
You deserve so much more than that. Best wishes my friend
hump. Every time you think of her with the other guy- you are self torturing
your self- so you have to consciously not re- live that thought process over
and over and over and over and over (in your mental)
Like when it happens(you mind drifts to her forcibly stop the thought.
Yes it is hard as hell. Yes you will probably have to forcibly stop your
mind from drifting 100 times a day- At First, but you have to commit
to yourself. It is called Loving yourself through this process.
And per your post- You being single/alone- dont forget that The most profound relationship that you will EVER have on this earth is with oneself.
If you feel that you are ALONE just because you are not with SOMEONE please make sure that the relationship that you have with yourself has been
deeply cultivated. Hugs- Yes and I reiterate GirlinCali "You Can Do This".
