It’s been hard and just feels wrong

Ive been broken up with my ex for about a month now and recently I’ve started talking to a girl from tinder, and it felt nice at first but not it just doesn’t feel right, it feels wrong and weird and makes me think about my ex even more. The tinder girl never really asks or seems interested in the things that have happened to me or anything going on, it just feels empty and that’s not the only time I’ve felt empty talking to another girl. When will I start to feel okay about moving on, my ex did some terrible and horrible things to me, but I still miss her to death and miss her personality and just the fun talks we would have, it just doesn’t feel the same when talking to anyone one else

I am going through the same thing I was with a psychopath so hard to understand I long for her back but I do not like the way she is using everyone around her me included nothing is her fault broke all the time buying designer crap to look good living a life I can not afford and I am not broke if I stayed with her she would have used me up than ran away its hard to open up to some one knew I am trying to go on with my life hope I to can forget the hidden abuse she inflicted on me they make you question everything in your life and there is no answer we were use and discarded if she truly loved you she would not have gone. all the best stay strong good luck in your search for the right girl for you

It will take some time. Good for you for talking to other girls. Just have fun, don't look for another relationship. That will take the pressure off. It is normal to compare new people to an ex, but that will fade soon. Your ex was a "new person" at one time too! :) And think more about the bad things your ex did to you (like cheat on you) and other things about her that you didn't like.

GirlinCalif has some good advice. However, I wouldn't dwell on the " bad things your ex did to you (like cheat on you) and other things about her that you didn't like". That may taint your attitude toward women in general and cause trouble in future relationships. Just learn from the experience and move on.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...
