yes yes yes...it gets better.....hang in there ,hold on,cry.get pissed,cry more,get more pissed,feel sad,question EVERYTHING in your life...cry somemore then start laughing,getting pissed,getting sad...all of it...but then it gets easier...

I'm not around here much these days....becuz life has gotten much better!
I left a 24 year abusive marriage with 69 dollars to my name, went through a 5 year divorce, my ex sued me twice during the divorce with bogus lawsuits (only won one), my 3 kids bailed on me, and nothing seemed to go right.
I worked hard on myself, got the divorce, finances got better, 1 of my kids came back, I got a new graddaughter (for my birthday)....and I am living happily ever after :)
I've been divorced 1.5 years now, still not dating, but I'm a very happy camper :)

You will have your ups and downs, but if gradually gets better and better it does take time though. Hang in there. hugs to you

I am in the beginning less than a mos and its already better BUT I have good and bad days...the beginning was so bad I would even question whether I did the right thing! I learn more and more as days go by and its just alot with 3 kids on my own but its improving day by day!

It does indeed get better. I'm 5 months post divorce from an emotionally abusive narcissistic man who I was married to for 14 years. I am so much happier. I am dating a new guy now and he is wonderful.

It does, satinecat, it so, so does. I cried for weeks in the beginning and most days I just couldn't breath. The pain and heartbreak was so devastating. It is the roller coaster of your lifetime. Feel everything you're feeling just like dbj17 said. There's no rhyme or reason and the timetable is different for everyone. And one day the clouds will clear, the sun's rays will shine through again and you will find your rainbow.

Yes yes yes it gets better! Even thou you might not think so it does. I was married over two decades and been divorced for 8/9 months and I am over being sad. I have decided to not let it make me sad anymore. It's the past I'm living in the now. I have had my days of course but those days are very fewer. Joy is a choice. Change your thought process to let a tiny bit go each day. journal or come her and vent. This is a great support group. We are here for you. Good luck.

I'm speaking from within the misery pit right now (early stages), but from past breakup experiences, yes, it does get better over time. Everyone is different and every situation is different, but the one common factor is time heals the heart.

It sure get better. Me day 1 and me day 74: what a difference. I was not at all able to focus on my work, my son, my health and was always in thoughts. Cried a lot, shouted a lot (alone), angered a lot, felt lost, miserable but now so much better. Hang in there...

it is very different for everyone. ive heard of people dating 4 months after, etc.....other people take years

everytime I post about how happy I am, or what fun things I'm doing...that's exactly what I'm trying to share...that it not only gets better, it gets REALLY GOOD again :)

Definitely! If you want my advice, try going no contact (hard if you have children together). Then you will see things as they truly were. The rose colored glasses come off and you notice it wasn't all that great. Hang in there...better days are yet to come.
