That is the evolution of dance, I see! They did improve in those 20 years and I need to learn this thing again. I hope I don't fail or they will tell me to learn how to stich and go home... :)

I sway back and forth from time to time.

my stbx was an AMAZING dancer. He could cut a rug right out from under most anyone.

He could slow dance, salsa, merenge anything that was to music he could dance it. But see that was what got him into trouble. he had no lack of partners on the dance floor and some transformed from dancing salsa with him to dancing in the sheets with him

Hey Pemdcat, how are you? yes,we had this conversation before, I setup a goal to slow dance again, you were the one who sent me Johnny Rivers tune and I STILL cannot find anyone to slow dance with me... I am happy for you and I know you will dance a bit over the weekend, but here I just dance with my pillow. Pretty sad...

I miss the closeness to someone that i really love. Slow danceing ...wow, what memories.

I'm picturing that, you standing at the sink, totally focused on your task, the man sneaking into the room, clicks on the radio, soft music playing, you turn around and give him that look, that little smile, the man grabs you by the hand, and twirls you into his arms, you start gently start swaying to the music, as one, as you were meant to be, you loose yourself in each others eyes, no words spoken, none needed, except for those whispers in your ear, "I love you, and I am so glad you are mine" hours seem like minutes...... nope don't miss that at all. **** going to my corner and crying now***

I've tried on numerous occasions to get my STBX to spontaneously dance with me, whether it was slow or not. In eleven years it never happened. :(

Yes I just got tired of trying and getting shot down for every nice thing I did, 5 years of that crap, that is when my evil twin was born. But that aside I still miss slow dancing with a pretty lady, as if you were the only two on the dance floor........

I get it, Dptlpsher. Yet, I did not lose hope. One day I will slow dance again (and it will not be with my pillow anymore!). I just wonder how long it will take and I hope I will not be in my 90's... Some say nursing homes are great for that.
