I took him back and I end up in the same place as before but much quicker this time. It's like a cycle. Honeymoon period, distancing begins little by little, then not available as he was in the honeymoon period by not answering text, phone calls, or coming home to spend time with me, then I question him on why things change, then he gets angry, then he ignores me and gives the silent treatment and won't talk to me. Then my anxiety goes wild, depression hits me hard, I feel miserable and ask myself why did I do this again??? At first lots of attention, love, affection, then its like the snow melts!! Is this normal people??

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Just guessing but from the on again off again it sounds like he is trying..

Male depression is serious, misunderstood and potentially fatal.
It looks like many of the symptoms you described.
It may not be your guy but is worth the thinking...
My two cents.
I am speaking with my ex now and we are gonna take it day by day.....
it is so difficult to break away from the ones we love.......we want to be happy and we want the best for them.
don't beat yourself up, you are only human.......
Is this normal? No. Healthy relationships are a balance of caring and compromise. What he is doing is using you until someone else comes along.
Counseling will help you break free from him.
Is it possible that you have unreal expectations from your husband? Is it sometimes difficult for him to return your calls, etc. within the time you think he should? Are you doing anything to contribute to his desire to not come home or not want to talk when he is home?
Sorry you are feeling so low. Keeping a relationship going is a tough thing to do and often painfull.
Be well...
Good, you have identified the problem. Now, what are you going to do about it?
I get it really, it is his cycle
And it is your cycle. You get fed up and break up, he sells you a story, you buy into it and take him back, things are good for a few days, then you get fed up with his behavior, repeat the cycle, repeat, repeat. You can't break his cycle, but you can break yours. Are you willing to do that?
becuz it is a vicious cycle, good for a few weeks and then back to the cycle...
you need to take your time to ease back into a troubled relationship....
hugs to you
