Yes happy, I do often wonder why. I've concluded that most of us here are honest/caring and we lived our lives that way and gave our relationship(s) our all and the benefit of the doubt. We sacraficed without hesitation and needed little in return just to maintain in our relationships. Yes, what a learning experience and am finally looking forward to a new adventure. Gret place to visit and greater place to live. At least you can get back and enjoy the city. I find that since I have moved, I enjoy things there more then I did when I lived there, even though I would go to the museums, going there now seems different. I appreciate it more if that makes sense.

OK so the "date" happened. I still don't know what to think. I had a great time and a terrible time. Not sure who he really is. It was strange. We went to dinner and had drinks, all good! He was very complementary and a total gentlemen. Seemed happy and proud to be with me. He suggested we go watch a movie at his house and have a few more drinks. I felt comfortable with him (we know some of the same people, etc...)and I would love to find someone I could just cuddle on a couch with and watch a movie, so I agreed to go. This man is very good looking and smart. He is a good catch and I thought (because of my insecurity still from being a size 14!) near the top of my wish list. He is in good shape. He claimed to be 44, I am 47. He has a child but has never been married (that kind of worried me but maybe he just hasn't found the right one?). We got to his place (a doublewide trailer, I don't judge people for where they live just how they live). It was nice and clean and he had nice things so I was not at all discouraged. I got comfy on the couch. He made us a few drinks and turned the movie on. We were not really watching we were doing more talking and getting to know one another, He turned the sound down on the TV and put music on. We had so much in common then he let it slip he graduated in 1978. Hey, what happened to 44? I graduated in 1979 and I am 47. He fessed up to being 48. Ok not thrilled with the lie but still think he is someone I would really enjoy plus now I am the young chick! As the evening wore on we got more and more comfortable with each other and judge me if you like but we were kissing and snuggling on the couch and I liked it. (I am very attracted to him!). My mind started thinking ahead, what would I do, how far would I go. Devil on one shoulder, angel on the other kind of thing. It is hard for a respectful but sensual woman to walk the line between being respected and having fun. I already knew if I was worth having I would be worth waiting for so I knew what I wasn't going to do (catch my drift) but I was loving the attention and intimacy. Then things got wierd. Out of the clear blue sky, Dude said "you are the biggest woman I have ever had". WTF!! I said number one you have not HAD me nor are you going to! Number two that was very rude and hurtful! I am 5'7" and I weigh well under 200 lbs. I am thick, big butt, big boobs. I fit in booths and regular furniture. I shop in regular stores, wear a size 14! I am NOT THE FAT LADY IN THE CIRCUS, yet at that moment I felt like a blimp! I have worked very hard to improve myself after living in hell for 20 years and letting myself go. This asshole has no right to take my self confidence away like this! I told him how I felt about what he had said. He tried to explain he was normally attracted to thin women but HE WAS very attracted to me and it suprised him! He was very apologetic but the damage was done! I tried to leave, he begged me to stay. I hung out for a bit longer and let him continue to tell me how beautiful I was, despite my size, etc... He told me I was cute as a button just had a big butt. Like I don't know that! He kept sticking his foot in his mouth, the more he talked. At one point I was hurt and actually got tears in my eyes. I felt stupid to think such a nice looking man could actually like the little fluffy girl, then I got my strength and told him, he was lucky I give him the time of day. After all he was a lying old man that lived in a trailer! I told him I knew I was pretty and smart and worthy and if he couldn't see past the extra butt that was his loss! He said he did see past it and it suprised him again with the I am the only "big" girl he has ever been attracted to. Am I supposed to take that as a compliment? I wasn't a bitch but I let him know I thought he went about it all wrong and I was not at all flatered. He said sorry a hundred times and tried to make it right. We have so much in common, we make each other laugh, like the same music and his kisses were wonderful but... He walked me to my car and I said thanks, it was.... I don't know! He called when I got home and told me again he was sorry he had hurt my feelings and he really wanted to get to know me better and he was sure we would get together again. I don't know what I think??!! I am very attracted to him. We did have a lot of fun together. Maybe I over reacted but I never again want a man that makes me feel less than worthy or that I am lucky to be with them! He did take my preaching and bitching quite well. He knew he deserved it. I don't think he meant what he said to be hurtful but it was, maybe because I still see myself as a "fat girl" and I hate that part of me! Do I even consider giving him another chance or do I tell him to bite my big ass! Sad part is, I am still attracted to him. Guess I will never learn! What to do?
