I just can't do this any longer. Me and hubby has been married 5 years this April and I just want out. I'm tired and worn out emotionally. We have a 2.5 year old son. I've stayed this long because of him. My hubby became a different person after we married which he finally admitted that he was not honest about who he was because he wanted to be with me. I was too trusting and foolish. We married after a year of dating and it has been 5 years of misery with the drugs "weed" drinking EVERYDAY heavy on weekends, clubbing, he snuck out yet again last night to go to the club" even though I constantly tell him he's a grown man he don't have to sneak out, The pornpgraphy, no intimacy no communication always lying always blaming me for everything, I'm tired of it. He provides financially but that's it,We don't argue or fight or disrespect each other but we are in a marriage where it seems like I'm the only one who lives life as if they are married while he desperately wants to live life as a single man. Two weeks ago he said he wanted to separate because as he put it "he has to suppress too much to be with me". Then later he said that what it really is that he didn't realize the sacrifices that having a wife and a child would put on his life. He always blaming me for his unhappiness I can't take it anymore. We are more like cordial roommates than husband and wife. We both love our son. But I'm tired of being miserable with a man who really want to be free but as he put it "Im scared of making a mistake cause you is a good woman" it like he want to leave but only if he is certain that he won't be walking out on a good thing. My husband has a "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence" belief or itch. He always talking about the things he didn't get to do as a single man. I don't know what to do because financially I need his income. I wanted marriage to be forever but I don't see how I can go on like this. I've suggested counseling but he refuses it. We had countless conversations made plans and resolutions but he never sticks to anything.

I feel your pain and am sorry you have to go through this. Google the Lisa Scott Forum and take a look. I have found answers and relief. This ending for me could never be painless, but it certainly helps. and.......I am recommending independently I don't get any kick back.

Oh I feel your pain. Mine didn't go out like that but seems to think if it wasn't for me and having kids life would be different. Like in a better way. He loves his kids but seems to resent me. We are seperated now. Do you work? I am sorry leaving comes with many stresses. I wish you best in your decisions.

@serenity yes I do work, i agree leaving will have many stresses, I don't look forward to the process especially for my son, I spoke with my sister and she told me that if I leave she will move in with me to help financially, she is single with no kids, she is a big support for me. I thank God for her, I'm thinking about preparing and exit plan. My vehicle will be paid off in 9 months and that will put me in s position where I won't need my husband income although I know that he will help me financially but I also know that if left alone my husband may possibly make poor choices that may inadvertently put him in a position where he can't help, my husband is the same way he feels his life will be better if he is single but he too scared of the unknown to leave.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
