So yesterday my wife asks me if I'm going to rake the leaves. I told her that I was going to do laundry, go grocery shopping and watch football. She then proceeded to tell me that all the neighbors were outside raking and that I was the only "man" not doing any yard work. I simply said that I didn't care what the neighbors thought of me and that I was sticking to my plan. Well, she grabbed the rake, as well as my two daughters and spent about 4 hours outside raking. Some of the neighbors even came by to help out. I just sat on my couch, watching football and watching my yard get cleaned up for me. Did I feel bad? Just a little bit. Did I get over it? Yeah, in about 30 seconds.
My point wasn't to come down on you, but to ask in a soft way, why didn't you go out and rake too?
Tired? I GET that. Oh do I get that.
But I also know that saying at home with young kids is harder than it seems.
And it's easy to just agree on here.
I also kind of wonder if you're more disconnected than you seem.
Which makes me wonder if your marriage Does have a chance. If you're both being defensive, and both maybe care more than you let onto each other?????
I look back and see a time when my marriage still had a chance. Before my ex disconnected completely. Before he started talking to Her.
It wasn't cheating that put the final nail in things here, it was the sympathy and understanding that he sought elsewhere, and that he didn't give me in return.
OK, back to the studying.
And again...I'm sorry for sounding harsh. That isn't what I meant.
