FWB is an interesting concept. I've always been faithful to my wife, but now that she has left me, I'm unsure of many things. I am hurting and not ready for another relationship. I'm also not sure I want one as I don't want to risk this kind of pain again, though that may change in time.

I've never been able to consider casual sex, as it has always been a trusting deeper experience for me. However, I have a high libido, and I'm frustrated.

To be blunt, masturbation has not been working as my mind wanders to my ex and her new guy and that ruins the moment as it were.

I'm hurting and lonely and I wonder how people can become comfortable with non-committed relationships, especially given dangers out there.

Is it something I should even be thinking about? What have others done that has helped in this area?

But to tell someone that what they feel is outdated because 2015 and electronics tells you a good fuck is minutes away doesnt make it what you should in fact do because i do agree life is short and you should make the most of it but making the most it doesnt have to involve screwing your brains out no matter how orgasm may be or the companionship ....i have a high libido. But i would like to have a relationship that i know at the end of the day that i dont have to give up the self respect i learned i deserved in order to have a silly little sexual fling and that is just who i am at my core being and i choose to be respected by myself and honor my core being.

#46 - I am sorry, what is the back and forth about now? When did I said that anyone's feeling a certain way was outdated? - I simply said, the concept has been around for years and has been a very common practice for a very long time and it seems odd that folks aren't educated on the topic - just like it would be odd if we weren't up to par with HCR - Health Care Reform. But you know what? - not everyone is into reading, surfing the net, documentaries, growing, learning, etc - etc - so perhaps it is not so odd that many aren't informed. Who knows.

Sorry, this post wasn't about what you would like or need but I feel you and I can understand where you are coming from.

Did you see my apology? - Because I did apologize to anyone who was offended - what else do you feel I should say?

I understand though that many on here are under a lot of distress - it's a support site - perhaps your replies or reactions aren't about what some of us are saying with regards to the FWB item - you might be having a hard time and I get that. No worries - I am not into back and forth. Ignore my replies all together.

I enjoy bluntness and you have bluntness. I enjoy it. I didnt get into it with another poster for their views. I actually agree with some of them but i do know exactly what I react to and for me it is when people say things in a way that is attacking anothers beliefs:-) i know myself well

Trust me, I know what you mean - be yourself and the hell with anyone who thinks others should conform. No, the arrangement isn't for everyone just like not everyone should be a catholic. But, inform yourself - I used to also think that sheltering myself from things I didn't approve was the way to go - boy, what a mistake that was - a rude awakening - technology is taking over the world - if we don't stay informed - we will fall prey of others who are super savvy. Don't take anything I say personal - I understand your frustrations. Apology accepted - but I was never annoyed - : )

Oh my goodness.....it is becoming apparent that some people still haven't grown out of the high school mentality of wanting to belong to a group, sucking up / kissing @$$ / trying to gather people to buy into their delusional state.
