So I tried to go to bed about 30 minutes ago and as soon as I lay down my mind starts racing again. I can't stick to one subject and my mind wanders from idea to idea. None of these ideas are productive throughts either. I can't get to sleep and everytime I would try to shut my eyes the same thing happened.
I am tired but I can't sleep. It is so fustrating. I know that it my anxiety flaring up but I can't seem to keep it under control.

WOW! There are so many of us here that suffer from insomnia. I know from my experience that its stress and worry and WHY? Life is short, but there are some things I'm going to try once I get these boxes unpacked and settled into this apartment. Just a little at a time. I'd like to start and exercise routine first, something simple to start out with. I have a new bedroom to decorate, so I'd like to create a relaxing sleeping environment. I also would like to watch my diet again. I find since I've lived alone my eating habits are not the best. In our crazy busy lives we all still have to remember to take time for OURSELVES! Than our challenges don't seem so overwhelming. Every small lifesyle change we make can help us improve our health and energy levels. Sounds to me like were all burnt out from the crap that were dealing with, but we do have to remember were first and far most, and then were that much better for everyone else. Take care of yourselves everyone. mk

You have been going through a lot. Go see your dr about help to sleep. In my case, dr recommended sleeping pills or excercise. I tried exercise first, for a few months, but it is though to do when working and having 5 hrs for sleep per week. THe mind would rush and I needed sleep to get to a point where it wouldn't. That is after div. Phasing out, and the illness and job crpa came about. So, sleeping pills are a must for me, because I have to sleep in pain. I take also melatonin. I find the sleeping pill helps to turn my mind off, but the melatonin helps me with the quality of sleep, sleep for longer and it is just very good. I used sleeping pill once before in my life with some other job crap, helped a lot. Maybe melatonin does it for ya. See your dr about that. You need decent sleep to make through this period and make the right decisions for yourself. Big hug

For months...I had the same problem. These 2 suggestions worked for me. Meletonin, which can be purchased over the counter. And also, journal, right before going to sleep. The first week, it seemed like I was writing a book...all those thoughts down on paper...now, I might spend about 15 minutes, at the most. I am more rested, and there is less junk flying around in my head. There are nights, when I don't journal...and I go right to sleep...there was a time, I prayed for a night like that...now, I actually look forward to my head hitting the pillow. Sweet dreams! Love and Peace!
