I have posted a few times before regarding my x bf (who was my bf at the time). We broke up in Sept. He decided after 5 years he didnt want to get married and move forward after he told me he did. I was broken. So between then and beginning of July he has strung me along with ideas of getting a house in the future and the idea of us being together again. Meanwhile he was only around a few days every few weeks. He would pop in and out then not respond to my messages. I decided to do some social media digging and boom i found it. I saw pics of him and another girl posted from 2 weeks prior. So instead of getting into the entire details i confronted him. he pretended it was nothing. I spoke w her and apparently they have been involved since dec spending every weekend together just having a blast. I never felt more broken. I then confronted him again. We had this long talk where he said he cant let me or us go and he wanted to get rid of her and make things work with me. That was 2 weeks ago. He has not made any attemts to work anything out with me. Yea he texts now everyday here and there but thats it. Nothing has changed. IDK why i cant let go. I cry everyday i am sick over it. I lost 6 pounds which guess is positive. I told him in a lengthy text last night i was through. No response. I am not in anyway suicidal but i cannot tell u all how much i want to disappear. He is and was my everything. I dont know hwo to live life without him anymore. I just want all this pain to go away. I lost interest in everything since this happened. I am taking 2 .5mg klonopins a day to stop the anxiety. I am on my normal meds as well. When does this end? How do you just close the door on someone?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

When you can look back on it objectively, you will see he was a bad boyfriend to you. Be glad you did not waste any more time with this jerk.
Have you looked into getting a therapist? They can help you with the break up and also putting your life back together. You are going to be okay! I have been through a couple bad break ups and you do go on and you are going to be fine, it will take a little bit, but know that you are going to be so much happier without him in your life. Time to think about YOU, what do YOU want out of your life? Things you want to do, places to go, jobs you want, there is so much life ahead of you.
Keep journaling, keep writing out your thoughts and feelings. It helps. I wish you the best. Thanks for the update.
This will only make u stronger!! Just recognize that u r going to hurt for awhile and feel it. It’s awful , but you will eventually feel a little better each day. I am not belittling your pain bc it’s a hurt u would not put on your worst enemy. I know from experience.
Also journal every morning and every night. Just write down how your are feeling and why, try and sort things out. Write out what it is you love about him and what you don’t. Write about what you will miss and wha you won’t miss. The good times you had and the bad times.
Write about how you can grow from this, work on yourself, and be a better person. It will help a lot. It will help you figure out if this person is really someone worth caring about or not— and I get the feeling he is not, but only you can really make that decision.
But also write out plans— what you can and will do with your new life. The things you can do now that you couldn’t when he was around, etc. Find something to look forward to, and keep that in mind at all times!
The pain will start getting better over time, I promise,
