Im so sick of asking for attention. It's like I have to ask my boyfriend to pay attention to me. For example, all day he has just been on his phone- playing games, apps, watching shows, etc. He doesn't even care to spark up a conversation. I've been bored all day long waiting for him to get off his phone and have a conversation with me. I was watching something and instead of sitting with me and maybe picking a movie he sat alone on his phone.. again.  Seriously.

Have you tried making plans with him and going out? Does he pay attention to you then?

I guess the question is: Do you think you'd be better off with another man in the future?

I don't know the answer to that. I suspect you just might be. You may have to walk away and hope for better latter on.

Yes I know what it's like to literally beg for your significant other to notice you. I did it for a year and my words fell on deaf ears. He would just turn the tv up or ask me to move out of the way of the tv.

Divorced yesterday, best move ever. When he moves, out, I will be more than happy for him to take the big tv. His mistress.

Don't waste anymore time on your BF - you've straight out told him how you feel, he could care less, it's time to leave.

Tell him he needs to put the phone down and communicate with you. Go take a walk together, hold hands, talk to each other. This is the day and age where no one wants to talk and everyone thinks it normal to just text each other (if there is a normal anymore). Tell him that your not happy with him always being on his phone. If he cant get past it, then move on to someone who will appreciate you. Life is short. My girlfriend used to come over and always just fall asleep on the couch...I told her if she's just going to do that then to stay home, I'm not wasting a weekend watching her sleep
