"once you've cheated on me,
trust will always be an issue"
if they got away with it once (you took him back)
they'll do it again
sorry but a leopard does not change it spots
(((((((only2))))))
Once a victim, always a victim?
Once a winner always a winner?
No, you can't ever change anything about yourself. So don't bother.
This speaks to something larger than winning, whining and being a victim. Cheating is about lack of character - period
Drug addict?
Abuser?
Murderer?
I suppose they can't change either, and I think they all trump cheating.
Its not about whether he would want to change, would be able to change, would be able to maintain the change...but what we think.
Safe to say those of us who have experienced being betrayed in that or another way, believe the adage "the best indicator of future behaviour, is past behaviour", which people think is about them, but really it's about us. That adage is about us choosing to be cautious and skeptical, rather than risk being taken for a ride again by someone with a bad track record.
Yes there are some who cheat and find it isn't worth it. That the grass isn't greener on the other side yada yada yada. Then there is a group of cheaters rightly called "serial cheaters." They can't seem to stop. I think it's the excitement of the hunt. Like a shop lifter who has millions in their bank account but steals for thrills. The trouble is figuring out what kind of cheater you are involved with. No one wears a badge or label so you can easily find them. LOL don't you wish they had those stickers on them like the apples in the produce section. That way you know you are getting the real think and not a look alike?
