Thinking that maybe things weren't so bad, that maybe it could work? I am just over 6 months out andf find that I am doing that now - still bargaining I guess.

That's what happens with grief. You go through all the steps and then they can creep up again unfortunately. Going through bargaining again is normal. It seems like I have been through bargaining more than once myself. Hang in there

Yes...and then I tell myself that I made this choice for a reason. My ex was not a good person. He was a serial cheater with other qualities that I cannot live with. I did not like the person I became over the time of my relationship with him. Were there good times? Of course. BUT, none of those will ever make the bad times worth it. He was unfaithful, disrespectful, and abusive. I will never go back to that. Remember, for all the good, there was also bad. You deserve better, someone who loves you, respects you, and will ALWAYS make choices from a place of mutual goodness.

This is probably meant to be a girls only thread, but after reading the emotion you posted I can't help myself. If there was an ethical line crossed... Infidelity... Abuse... Etc. I would want you to protect yourself from any weakening of your resolve. As a man who is losing the woman of my dreams because she feels she has lost that "in love" feeling for me, if that is what split you up, then know I believe true love can only be achieved after first having been tempered by doubt, temptation, and tribulation. If the former is you, steel your resolve. If the latter, go to him. In both cases, strength and peace to you.

I was also left because he wasn't "in love" with me any more. Of course by then he had established an on line relationship and was planning to bring her to a hotel by the airport for a long weekend. He lied, telling me he was going to the beach to "think things through". He is now living with her at her house 3500 miles away. My heart is broken, I keep trying to get past our 35 year relationship. The only thing I know is that you can't make someone else love you again. You have no control over that person. To keep hoping things will change is futile. Only the other person can change. All you can do is change yourself. Love yourself because, ultimately, you are the only one you can rely on. We are born alone and we will die alone, no matter how many people are around. I am trying to do this myself and it's hard. And I fail many time but I have to keep trying.

Idontmake, unfortunately, there was infidelity, disrespect, and neglect of both me and my son. There is no going back. Fooling myself in thinking it could be different if we tried again - it would be the second time if we did - like betrayed the first time wasn't enough on top of everything else?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
