Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. So this is some sort of Lord of the Flies thing? I'm in. I play guitar if someone brings instruments. Where will I plug my amp in? I guess I could bring the acoustic... Can I row?
You should try it, you may never come back though, just warning ya.
Wish I could.
In regard to the topic, I understand how you feel, but running away from life would be just a temporary fix; you'd have to return and deal with all these issues upon your return eventually. Give yourself a little time because I think it's fairly normal to feel overwhelmed and stressed when life becomes overwhelming and stressful.
Make the laughter stop!
Honestly, just like my pain in the ass is other stress effects. I was telling my dad today, I wish I could work some, but dealing with NOs and the crap to look for what I want (and can't have right now because I have no clue IF I will get better and when, so I can't relocate or show up because I can't stand or sit over 5 mins until I learn different) is too stressful and fruitless.
A good friend of mine that had cancer and was out of work 2 yrs, gave me the best advice I had so far. To just rest and get well, in my own time, and everything else will fall into place when I am over this injury. Not to worry about jobs or anything like that, because that will make me excited and I need less of that. She also told me she wishes she had done that herself, just been more patient to properly recoup her health before going back to work, since I am not worried with income for the time being.
I make her words mine. What is the rush? Where are you going so fast? Living fast (wanting to be better right away, the perfect job right away, recoup fcrom div overnight), all these create anxiety and stress and perpetuates your issues. Slow down, because the only finish line in life is death, the more you live on the fast lane, the sooner you get to it. Really, you have been through A LOT. How about just giving yourself some well deserved rest in between now and the next job?
I used to think like that, I had to be well and do all right now. So, I understand where you are coming from. But listen to your body and see what that is all doing to it. In the greater scheme of things, trust me, it does not mater if you have a few months break or a couple yrs break. Things don't change all that much. Heal well so you can go back to the fight when you are all in one piece and ready, take your time to get that point.
I can't wait to spend a couple months at the beach after all this crap, I have a lot to take in and process. Life will be right there waiting for me when I am ready. Have faith in yourself. You are not a slave, you are not wonderman, you are human and you DO need a break.
Hugs
Hitler.
I realize that getting away from society would be a temporary fix, but I also think it would give me time to heal the wounds that all that stress has placed on me.
