Has anyone else had the desire to just totally detach from society. I am so sick of all the stresses and pressures that I have been going through and I just wish I could take off for about a year and disappear from the mainstream of society. This job hunt that I am on makes me want to do this even more.

I can't seem to handle stress correctly anymore. Everytime I get really stressed out my body reacts by upping my blood pressure, I begin to sweat, and I almost get a sense of fight or flight. My mind will also begin to race. I am on medication for General Anxiety Disorder, which I didn't have until this year, and it works sometimes but in really high stress events it doesn't seem to keep my mind from racing.

I just feel that over the course of this last year there has been so much stress that was introduced into my life, the divorce, the demotion, quitting my job, and medical issues that my body has become hyper-sensitive to stress related issues.

I really wish I could just take off for a while in my boat and not deal with the mainstream. Just sail around, visit new places, relax, and not deal with all the pressures of my life. I have bills to pay, a $427 a month insurance to pay now that I am jobless, $80 a month in prescription medicines, and all kinds of other things that I have to deal with. I am just sick of the whole situation and I am beginning to realize that no matter what I end up doing for a job there will be plenty of stress in it because this whole world is high stress. It sucks.

I really wouldn't mind going back to school for a while and get new training for a new job but I just can't figure out how I would pay for it without getting back into debt from student loans etc.

If anyone out there has dealt with something like this how did you handle it?
