I am working like a dog and I happen to need comedy relief. Most of my healing came from silly moments as I had forgotten to laugh again. I was literally sleeping in a fetal position outside my ex's bedroom like a dog and laughter was foreign until DS...a couple of people made me chuckle and then, my heart's portals began to open little by little until I was able to start sharing my journey from the depths of hell.

I think that as a broken adult, I was able to decide which thread was helpful...both serious, painful and silly. I made my own formula of healing.

i, too, came to this board for support and to feel better.
some of you guys have some good insight and have helped me, and some just run around doing God knows what (goodness gracious, people!!!).... sometimes i feel like i'm in the middle of a circus here! LOL-some of yall's comments made soda come out my nose!

but honestly, there were days I was in pain / agony and just wanted support. but everyone was joking around so much i ended up not posting anything. I was afraid of being gaffed off. just my honest to God feelings here, is all.

don't get me wrong, i'm not saying everyone should become dull boring people. the silliness does help. but i also think there should be more supportive conversations on here, as well.

The OT threads are therapy to me where I usually have a laugh; Im sad, heartbroken and need that laugh more than the stay strong, no contact advice some days.

Wish someone would censor my STBX.

I go both ways...enjoy the OT's and look at the supportive threads to see if they mimick my dilemmas. For me it's like a radio station...I don't like the song I change the channel...if I don't care for the thread I move on to another, unless underlying stuff is made to berate my friends, then I will stand by them all the way.

I have a suggestion for everyone...Click on the "View All" tab. Look at the author. Then open at your discretion. Also look for the "OT" threads and avoid them...
People shouldn't be afraid to post because they see "OT" threads. There are plenty of people here who don't want to talk in the "OT" threads, but who do want to post in the more serious threads."
Click ignore button if you don't want to see any posts from people you don't want to see posts from...
