I spend much more time on the infidelity forum.
Due to the fact that I am heading toward a split.....I venture on this board from time to time.

I am looking for support on this forum.
Seldom do I see serious topics here.
It's a lot of bullshit and jokes.

I recognize the value of making light of OUR situations.....its therapeutic.
Certainly, I can be as raunchy as anyone on this forum.
However, I think there should be some balance.

I know MANY who NEED support on DS but stay away from this forum because of that reason.

Some of us are further along in the divorce/split up and are ready to have fun. BUT....the PURPOSE of this forum is SUPPORT.

Shouldn't we use THIS forum for support......and ANOTHER forum for the wisecracking?

I too felt he stepped WAY over the line.
I thought he was funny...but some would get offended.

Again....shouldn't there be a completely independent forum for that?

Blindsided... you have hit on a topic that has been brought up many many times in the past... the answer to that is that the members that are playing around are hurting just as much as the newer members.. the newer members may not get 100 responses, but they will get several.. some of the "players" cannot handle going into the "newly" pained threads, cause they are still fresh enough that it sets them back in their healing.. there are several of us "oldtimers" here that try to do our best to make sure that the newbies are getting the attention that they need!
