Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

I honestly would appreciate it if you didn't talk to me the way you do in my posts. If you don't agree or feel like I'm not "mature" enough for you "advice", then don't leave any. I tried to explain that we are all different. We process heartbreak and loss in different ways. I don't know what happened in your past relationships, but I would never tell you that you're "pathetic" for feeling sad or that you have the power to "control your memories" but you chose not to. You don't know me and you don't know how I feel inside. Nobody truly can. All they can do is acknowledge the hard times the other is having and lend SOME FRIENDLY ADVICE. Everyone else that had commented was nothing but nice, and gave a little insight as to what they would do. The way you present your suggestions is by belittling at the same time. If that is how you are going to continue to comment, please refrain. Thank you.
If you read my comment correctly, I haven't said you're pathetic, I've said that thinking that way is pathetic. I don't need to know you, or what you feel inside, my posts are generic advice based on what you've written here. My advice is meant to help you see that what you're doing, is harmful to yourself and your wellbeing. I wish I had someone speak to me in the way I have to you here, when I was 27.
I'm not the type to offer a pat on the back and a now-now dear, it's fruitless. The truth, and discovering why we do the things we do to ourselves, is far more important for personal growth. My posts are meant to help you see something that you can't or don't recognize, but perhaps, because it doesn't come wrapped up nicely with a bow, you take offence, instead of attempting to see if there is any truth to it. Humility and open-mindedness goes a long way, and the negativity you mention, seems to come from you.
My advice as well as all the other posters' advice, is a gift to you, recognize that. What you decide to do with it, is your prerogative.
Wishing you well.
Like you I'm torn in what to do I really want to say to her but think it will be me just being in denial
I really hope you stay strong today
