Anyone else Lost....

I am! That is the best way I can describe it. Ever since the "one" that was to complete me turned out to be a liar. I am lost!! I was always, the smart one, the pretty one, the RIGHT one. That couldn't be true or it wouldn't have all gone so WRONG! Now I try to love myself but when I look in a mirror, I see a stranger. I don't know who I am, what I am about. It is very hard to love someone you don't even know. I don't know how to find out who I am. I have read the books, listened to the speakers, journaled,prayed, etc... I keep coming back to not knowing anything about me, except that I am unhappy and don't know how to get happy. I feel like I am someone new each day, never getting to the real me. Anyone understand what I mean?

Start by doing something good for you. I'm going to go take a hike. Yep literally. That is one thing I found out about myself through this sep/divorce...I need to be outdoors and I need to exercise. It helps me think clearer and lowers my stress level. Now to get my butt up from this computer is another thing. lol

Jac (and others), I am NOT looking for anyone but ME! Love from another is NOT what I seek at this point. I can not figure out who I AM! I am trying to LOVE ME but I am so confused about who the hell that is that I feel LOST!! Men are NOT MY PROBLEM (for once) I AM the problem and I know I have to be the solution, just not sure how that is all supposed to work.

Good question. I never had time to persue MY INTERESTS so I am really not sure. My interest was always taking care of my man and kids. Now don't have a man (fine with that really) and the kids are pretty much grown and I am left saying, who the hell am I and what do I like?? Lost, like I said!

i'm finding out who i am..after yrs of being beat down..i find i'm stronger (but fragile) than i ever thought...i've used my outgoingness to make new friends...i've used my smarts to outsmart the mfu**ker stbx (master plan worked like wonders)

done pretty well considering i've been a basket case most the time

now getting ready to dip my toes into the dating pool - thats the hard scarey part

Oh, I so understand, one minute is ok, next downhill with the speed of light... not sure what to trust, what to believe, what to dream and hope, how to act, how to behave...yep, I do understand...

I agree. I put up w/ bs for way too long and I have no one to blame but myself. I could have taught him better how to treat me and set better boundaries. Or left him a long time ago.
We all have to treat ourselves with respect. Now that we have been beatin(emotionally in my case) and lost we need to find ourselves again.

I don't remember who I was or what I liked. I have been someone's partner since I was 16! I am trying to discover who I am and what I like. I can tell you some things I don't like so far but not much I do. I'll keep looking, if anyone has an easy way of finding yourself, please share!
