I have no pets right now (can't where I live). I am an avid dog lover. I had a Westie that I loved like a child. She's been gone 3 years and I miss her still.
I'm allergic to cats.

I'm a dog lover too. Right now I have two that are utterly spoiled and I couldn't imagine life without them. I like cats too and have a very sweet cat that I feel bad for because she doesn't always get the attention I know she wants. The dogs try to play with her, but she doesn't take to well to mammoth Labradors bounding after her, so she's in the basement where it's safe a lot of the time.


Frank: too cute about your son! I loved turtles when I was a kid too. I remember *crying* when my mom made me let a box turtle go that I had found in my grandparents back yard.

I prefer fish.

I have always had dogs; growing up, and even through college and grad school. Had two 'found' dogs for about 13-14 yearswho both passed away a few years ago. At that time I had 3 small children and worked full time and figured we did not have a lifestyle that allowed up to give a dog the attention it deserves.

My ex was allergic to cats, and my oldest daughter is obsessed w/cats. She collects cat figurines. So shortly after the divorce we found 3 feral kitten siblings, and took them all. I like cats a lot, and they fit with our lifestyle better.

I've had my fair share of cats. I think my daughter got my I need to rescue every stray animal I can find gene because I know mom will can't say no. No cats at the moment (after the last one I put my foot down), but I have 2 dogs. I am a big dog lover, used to be a groomer. I would someday love to have horses, I used to show Morgans and Arabians, and goats, chickens,pigs, and cows. I'd like to have a pygmy goat so he could mow the lawn.

That's so funny about the turtles... as I just remember having them when we were younger... do not remember then ever dying. They just were gone one day...

I've had both. Rotties, Labs. And cats. Cats are temperamental, but low-maintenance... I had one who behaved like a dog though-a mush...

I'm a dog person - cats offer nothing to my life. (And I've had LOADS - I have two kittens in my basement as we speak)

I kind of want a chihuahua now with all the commercials for that movie on TV. If they could talk in real life like those ones I would be sooooo on that! In fact I would probably have like half a dozen it would be a party at my place every day of the week.

McCaugh, my neighbor behind me has about 15. She is a collector, even mentioned once she wanted every type of chihuahua. She occasionaly will let them outside and they actually sound like a pack of wild chihuahuas. It's crazy. I cannot let my one dog out because she looks at them like "yummy...lunch"

Oh yeah I would totally get like the white one in the commercial dressed up like Paris Hilton and shit then go down to the Home Depot with it and be like, "What are you looking at?" I bet nobody would say anything to me lol.

LOVE cats. Always have had both growing up, but preferred cats. Now I have 2 cats and the dog. Buster is the first dog that I have ever cared about as much as my cats. I actually get mad at the cats if I feel like they are being too mean to him, lol. I used to have a bunny. They are A LOT of work. Don't think your gonna get a cute little bunny for easter and just leave it in the cage. Oh no. THey poop like they get paid to shit. They chew. They have special dietary needs, otherwise they get very sick. So no bag of food and calling it good. Pellets, hay, fruits, veggies. Then there is the issue of keeping them happy. Hint: They aren't happy in the cage. So you have to let them out to run around. Mine was litter box trained so she would return to her cage to use the restroom. However she dug up the carpet and chewed through all the speaker wire.
But on a positive note, bunnies are actually pretty cool. THey have quite the personalities!!

Don't like any household pets, but let my kids have them because they like them, oh and guess who gets to clean up after them.....

I love big dogs!
