I am not likely to volunteer to be a test subject. I certainly wouldn't pay to be experimented on.
Might if I live long enough to meet my great grandchildren.
It'd be nice to go a day (or the rest of my life) with no worries, but that wouldn't cure worries from life in general.
But let me tell you why I say "absolutely not"
I would not be the person I am today without these struggles. I am strong, I am a published artist (11 or 12 times now) who has had a gallery showing, and I've sold paintings. Yes. I am bragging. I got the bragging rights. I am also empathetic towards people, I have a want to help people. I think outside the box. I am blunt, sarcastic, and have a good sense of humor that stems from pain.
And at 29 yearsof age I honestly feel like I'm believing all these good things people say about me, and I want to embrace my illness and turn a bad situation into something good.
Am I miserable at times? Yes, but would I be this person that I'm starting to learn to like? Nope.
I'd just be some selfish basic bitch. I'm learning and I'm growing.
I'm not all the way there, and I don't think I'll ever be, I don't think we'll ever be "there", but we can be close enough. And embrace and be thankful for the "close enough". I have my swings, but that's ok (it's not, but it is), because that's just the way I am.
And it's a long, long, LONG journey. We're all dragging that baggage along for this journey, too. And I still got my baggage.
But you know what? Empty that fucking bag from time to time! Bitch, rant, rave, do what you have to do! We all have to bitch and whine. We all have to take meds. And you're in the right place to do all that, my friend.
It's a life-long search. But we're all awesome people. All of us. You included. I hope you understand. Or will understand.
Have you heard of DBT therapy? I highly recommend it. Shit, I think everyone, including "normal" people should take it.
