Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Honey,
Whatever you decide , you will have to live with it.
Certainly a change needs to be made with the meds if they are not working.
But is that change......................total withdrawal??? IDK.............It seems rather extreme. If I was in your shoes, I would try the recommended change and see if that helps.
Do you trust your pdr? Is the pdr helpful? If not, you need to shop for someone you trust. Someone you can work with. Someone that you think is working with you to fight this BP. If you do not feel this way, then it is time the fire the help. And that is what a pdr is. Hired help. Expensive hired help. The pdr works for you. You do not work for him. Sometimes they get rather uppity.
Now these drugs take time to work.............s/t and it is sooooooooo hard to be patient. I know.
My drug don't work quite like I like. I am working on my 3rd year. No right combination ...........................yet. Perhaps there never will be, but I am hopeful. I am not a quiter.
About the husband................perhaps marital counseling???? Perhaps talking to the therapist?????????
And feel free to post whatever you would like............s/t the issues of everyday life seem trivial..........................
Sometimes they are.
Sometimes they aren't.
And often below the ordinary...............below the everyday............behind the routine
is
the very essence of life.
