Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. I learned this a year ago in the hospital and have done it everyday since. It has really helped me get through some rocky times and keep my precious stability. I keep a record of it in my daily journal to remind myself of what I have accomplished.
Find something to celebrate everyday, just one accomplishment. Remember that anything can be an accomplishment. Something as simple as I got out of bed today, or I got dressed. Up to something monumental like, I faced a fear and beat it.
Today I am celebrating the fact that it has been exactly one year since I was last released from the hospital, and I have not been back.

I have loaded the dishes into the dishwasher and they have been run full cycle and my son put them up.
Since I saw this post I have cleaned my bottom cabinets on one side of my kitchen.
Hope to clean the other side later.
I am getting some things ready to give to a friend for a yard sale on Saturday.
