Something happened that really messed with my head. And now I want to forget all about it. I want to forget all about the people involved. I want it out of my head. So I'm looking for suggestions on thought control. Thinking about this is really gonna get me upset when I'd rather be stable. But I can't stop thinking about it. I'm screwed.

Many people here have both diagnosis with OCD, like me.
I'd do the letter thing too and vent all my anger and pain to them, not holding back on the cuss words. Not sending it of course.
Have you got somewhere private you can scream about them? Or beat the shit out of a punching bag?
How about a nice visualisation where you imagine telling them both exactly what you think of them and slowly torture them to death in many creative ways? I always find that helpful when I am very rageful at someone. Expresses the angry feelings nicely. I know you like to read books that will give you lots of ideas.
