Great news about the income I hope it doesn't effect the FS that would bite!
It is just amazing to me that you make the comment about them taking food stamps away but yet you are going to spend money on music cards and gifts for yourself? Really? What a way to put more important things first, liking feeding you and your family...
I get NO assistance from the government and I have a disabled husband at home. I can't get help because I make 200 more a month over the poverty level. But yet there is not enough money to pay rent, electric, water, and gas to heat the house AND food and gas for the car for me to drive back and forth to work.
That is poor, not being about to get food stamps and then not buy your music cards is NOT poor.
I just sent out my SSDI paperwork to a lawyer....was told don't bother filing w/o a lawyer. Besides all my broken bones, I can't concentrate well enough to do my old job. Also get paralyzed with anxiety over it. I've promised the IRS I would replace myself since about 2003 when it first became obvious I was a total fuckup.
Doesn't everyone who has paid into SS get a summary every year saying exactly how much they are entitled to receive a month, based on their lifetime contributions?
We have pawned anything we have of value and neither my husband or myself have gotten paid in over a year. Anyway, that's my sob story. Praying they accept my application.
Not meaning to thread-jack, but what's everyone's sob story? :-)
Now if one was to ask if she could borrow some bacon that would be thread jacking and by the way I am asking. . . Jacked
I'm on SSDI and it barely helps but I dang sure spend it on important things like food and the power bill. Not that I have much choice ;) its amazing to me that so many people that are poor are poor but still buy things they don't need, but hey, I'm guilty as charged, cause I smoke cigarettes and I really can't afford to.
l know you are low income but not poor yet l dip into poor and yesterday l had no food so my b/f who lives in a different city bought me a take away thank you for online payments and my electric went off because l was too sick to work last month luckily l got benefits through today but if l hadn't l would have been home hungry and in the dark at 4pm as its winter here that to me is poor.
Love ya both,
Bobbi
