hi, it used to be very busy, Facebook and some bad decisions by the owners of the site means that it is less active now.

ok. thanks. I thought it was active almost like a 24/7 thing, at least during some parts of the day. I'm also a member of 7 cups which has "listeners" have had no luck there at all. Tried several times, and each time the "listener" is multi-tasking and I was the last priority - sometimes left hanging for 5 min so I finally closed out window. Do you of any bipolar support groups that are more active "in the moment"? (DSBA you have to book like at least a week in advance because they offer so few general groups - most for specialized, like transgender, military, blacks, youths - maybe even just men group - and they are always open! Even for families of those with bipolar that are never fall. It's rather frustrating for me just being a middle-aged white woman. I feel like I'm in the "minority" now and "underserved".. I do not understand don't look at the statistics!

Ya this place used to really rock, now the rock sunk to bottom of ocean. There are a few people who might respond. I think one of the problems is that people post, others respond and there is no return response from original poster....then there is the issue of just trying to get your post 'on'. I've been here for about 10 years and never have seen it so slow.

It would be nice to have a chat line to pop onto. There is one but I can't for the life of my figure out how to send a message on it! Maybe it's because I'm trying to access it on my phone instead of on an actual computer. I have so many questions. You would think you would get a pamphlet or some sort of resources after a diagnosis instead of just a virtual call , script and the number to the suicide hotline!!!

DS doesn't have chat. Used to but not anymore.

This place was insane, 24/7 about 8-10 years ago. You would have loved it. Well, if you had a warped sense of humour. We just used the threads as chat rooms. The threads would go so fast, they would be on the second page faster than you post.

It still has the function of supporting people who are in need, esp. newbies. Some of us have made close friends here. And that made everything worthwhile!
