Hey All... It's been super quiet here of late.... How is everyone doing?.....What's it like where you are?.... Any new news to tell??
As most know I'm in Toronto and it's raining leaves right now.... Getting colder but still pleasant... I like the Fall weather but I always dip mentally in the Fall... Not too bad though
No real new news to share... I hurt my leg a couple of months ago and it still hurts but not as badly.... I'm doing pretty good... I need to get onto a diet... The Seroquel kills me but not quite sure what to do about it as it works well... sigh... Maybe a change??... I see my pdoc next month

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Here in Southern Alberta it snowed last night and was -16C (that's 3.2F for my American friends). Down jackets are a MUST here.
My Christmas decorations are sitting in my living room waiting for me to get the energy to put them up. Maybe tomorrow...
When I need to see people being kind and supportive or ask for some for myself this is still my ace in the hole.
I'm in southern BC. Since Nov 15, we've been having floods, mud slides. Land slides, bridges washed away and roads closed and some deaths. The first week we ran out of everything fresh, in our stores because all our food and produce comes from Vancouver. But hubby & I were safe, no floods, we didn't even lose power. I have loads of food, lots of garden veggies, so we didn't go hungry.
Roads still open & close daily. It's all in mountains and valleys, 5 highways that are possible. Some are closed for months, others less, some essential services, etc Lots of bad accidents because people are in a hurry, esp bad where the roads are washed out. 3 days ago, 2 semis smashed into each other head on and the road was closed for 3 days getting the mess cleaned up.
This matters to me, because I have a rheumatologist appointment in Vancouver on Dec 14. It's to get a second opinion, as to whether the RA meds I am now in are working well enough. My local rheumatologist said they are. And he is right about the bigger joints. But I am getting horrible deformities in my hands, I was unable to use them! I went back on Plaquenil, but only one pill, ended up with allergic itching, and the worst insomnia in my life, which is really saying something,
I've got to a point of being fatalistic. I could book a plane ticket, but I don't think I could do this trip in my own. I may end up not getting there. So I will lose hand function.
On the good side, I was asked to apply for a professorship in theology at my seminary. It would mean moving, and mentally and physically I am not up to it, but nice to know they think well of me.
Waiting for Christmas to see all my 7 grandkids.
I've seen that farmers have come home to all of their animals lost... Heart wrenching
I sure hope that the rain will give you a break soon
I'm also so sorry that you suffer so badly with RA... My mom had it pretty bad and I know how awful and painful it can be ... I hope that you can make your appt and I hope their can be something that can bring you some relief
Kudos to you being offered a Professorship.... That deserves a capital P.... You go girl.... What an honour!!
Another hug and a blessing....xo
Big hug by.... I do rest and I stay in bed even the nights that I don't sleep.... Thanx sweetie... xo
