Does taking medication affect you're ability and desire to work on you're art?
I've noticed that before I started taking meds, which was years ago, I was churning out some impressive sketches and writing more vivid and elaborate stories or poems daily. After getting on meds it was as if my internal muse just up 'n left.
It still comes to visit occassionally, but that doesn't seem to happen often. I was shocked to realize recently that the last time I picked up my pencils was almost a year ago, but I just haven't felt inspired the way that I use to. I've tried to force it in hopes that something will spark, but I don't feel the same connection or buzz...
I've even had crazy thoughts about stopping my meds just to try and get it back, but the logical side of me knows it's not worth the risk. Still, I feel like I'm losing a part of me that I really care about, that I take pride in.
Anyone else in the same boat?
