Does anyone take this drug? Ive just been told i need take it for poor sleep,anxiety and they think psychosis symptoms . start off at 50mg to be increased. Im scared of weight gain. Ive just lost over 3 stone in last half year i dont want put it all back on.
Has anyone had any good or bad effects?

Since then I only take it PRN so I can't comment on weight gain other than to say these things tend to be very individual.
If it were me, knowing how damaging psychosis is, I'd take the med, get myself well and then in a few months if there are signs of weight gain go back and discuss with the doctor.
I think where I have failed re weight gain is that I buy things that I shouldn't ...sigh
If you're careful about what you snack on you could do alright... I have been my own worst enemy
Unfortunately it does tend to cause weight gain, so you have to watch what you're eating. Adjust your diet to higher protein, less fat and sugars. Daily exercise also helps.
When I took it I was on 1200mg per day and managed the weight gain with diet and exercise.
