Hey guys. What I am about to tell you is very shameful for me. I hope you won't look any differently at me after you have read this, but I take that chance. I have only revealed the depth of these thoughts to my hubby and my tdoc. Here goes:
My intrusive thoughts are of a sexual nature, involving just about anybody, but especially children. Especially my four year old. I will see the most awful pictures and a thought of horrendous nature seems to be broadcasted into my mind. I can stop them most of the time, but a lot of times they are happening repeatedly.
I am having a delusion or psychosis or both that I am a child molester even though I have NEVER done and would NEVER do that. It pains me so much to have these thoughts. I have had to accept them and make what little peace I could with them because if I hadn't I would have ended up killing myself. Seroquel helps me with this.
What I am wondering is if that is delusional, psychotic or both. Do you have any ideas? Do any of you have sexually based intrusive thoughts? I also have a small amount of violent thoughts at times. Nothing I can't handle though. It is just kinda disturbing, but not so much as the sexual thoughts.
Please do not think any differently about me. I don't expect you to be in acceptance of these thoughts as I myself am not, but please still accept me as a person. Thanks for listening and please let me know what you think.
Hugs,
Chelle

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

At this point, though, I'm a lot less afraid that it was him. I have two distinct, clear, and surely solid memories that were never put in my head by anyone, and all the boys and men involved were no part of my family, just strangers I was unfortunate enough to be lured off to a private place with.
Still, though, I'm not perfectly positive my family can be completely absolved from the possibility though, heh one of the times I DIDN'T like the shocked look on my boyfriend's face was when I nonchalantly told him when we have kids nobody in my family is changing their diapers. That was rough to explain, considering he hadn't the slightest clue where I was coming from and why.
Sorry this is all shit I should say somewhere else but I'm glad I'm saying it at all. I don't like to bother with such things at all apparently...
No way do I think any less of you! It's good that you came forward with this and got some feed back and encouragement about what's been bothering you. Everyone has given great advice and much support and I'm with them! *hugs*

Thoughts are not actions and are therefore controllable. You have just done a very courageous thing by coming out with this. I would never think less of you for intrusive thoughts. I have intrusive and disturbing thoughts all the time, but that is all they are. We still love you just the way you are.
I don't put it in the same ballpark as delusions or psychosis, because we know that the thoughts are thoughts. But this does not discount the pain that goes with what you are going through.
You have a lot of courage lady! I really admire you for sharing. I hope you feel warm waves of support and care.

I used to have intrusive thoughts against myself. Before I got a diagnosis and on lithium. When they stopped in a few days after it kicked in, I realized it was never about me, but my brain. Still, it was very disturbing for many years, and you have my deepest sympathies. Now if any little thought tries to creep into my brain, I just tell myself "No pity parties." It seems to work for the most part.
I will pray that the docs will get a handle on this. Whatever the cause or source. ((Hugs))
example" person that was sexually abused at age 4, may be drawn to children near the ags that they where assulted.
issues is often manififes iitself as - oh lets say, intudsive randon thought - thought's of whatever.
seldom but occassionally in manic I have random thought of harming myself. I will not effect other people lives by such a waste.
mine are: jumping out of car beside a simi trucck. the driver wouldn't even kow but the clean up crew & effect on my family & friends also prevent me from carrying out such thoughts.
The thoughts that I have pop in out of no where & flree just as fast.
does these things happen to you. ?
My meds keep me in state of funtioning as liken to a zommba.
A snale moves faster than I do,lol.
People have thoughts that pop in & out liken to lighting.
don't dwell on random thoughts. speak w p-nurse. if a person feels that there is even a sliver of possibility of actting out a thought -espically 1 that is harmful or cause harm. speak w p-nurse & p-doc.
sometime intrudsive thoughts might maybe be cause by medication.
Sorry I'm rambleing. it's a manic thing.
