Yes, the states legislature would have to be involved. During the civil war, it was just people taking up arms and going to war.

President Lincoln did not even recognize the action as a secession. Just a little blip in the road that when it was over, every went home and played nice. He felt secession was impossible, because the constitution is silent on the subject.

I have been watching and realizing the division we have in our country. Just had hopes it would not get any wider.

Here in Texas I have heard this talk periodically for so many decades that it is hard to take it seriously. The continuing influx of California through New York law seekers and bright light lovers has me listening more closely in recent years... I miss the old south...

I think these people need to grow up. If that other guy one, and the Obama fans did this, they would look just as stupid.

Im in NJ and i havent heard of this happening. Which doesnt mean it isnt, it just hasnt been very publicized.

As far as patriotism goes...Im pretty damn sure most of the last four years that wasnt successful is because the president was working with a government that specifically wanted to stop every thing he was trying to do simply based on who he is.

Which I consider treason, personally. We all had to put up with Bush for 8 years people need to grow up.

It really doesn't matter much who won or if they secede. Until we stop electing almost entirely lawyers and business people nothing much will ever change.

A patriot is one that loves their Country- just because you are the President doesn't mean everyone has to like or love it. Just look at all the Bush bashing that goes on. Patriots?
