Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

as a guy with BP it really sucks. last time I tried I got zero responses from the 70 women I messaged. Now I'm trying again, and it just feels shitty. I'm expected to read through every line of every profile of every woman I'm interested in, then write a personalized message that is thoughtful and interesting. meanwhile women put in almost zero effort. I have only ever gotten a handful of likes from people I have nothing in common with. absolutely zero messages. I guess it's nice that a few women clicked the like button, but typing out anything at all was too much work I suppose. I may not be a 10, but neither am I a 1. I don't go for women that are what one might consider out of my league. The one thing that I assume is holding me back is the fact that I say upfront that I'm disabled. I don't say why. I figure they can ask.
It feels like there is no love for men that cannot provide.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Also she has to share the same political and spiritual or religious as me. I have had my encounters, however I never had a long term relationship where I am sharing a personal space with someone. I am more inhibited as I got older.
I would share this after you get to know someone over a little time and I don't think it would hold you back..... Big hug
I went out with someone for awhile and I was having one of those days and he noticed and I explained I was bipolar and by saying it this way I educated the man. He thanked me and we had open conversation about it. He felt comfortable to add that he often got depressed so it was a great experience. Now if he ran out the door he wouldn’t be someone I would want to be with or even a friend,
Whatever you choose hang in there Namaste Pema
I think of it as a chronic condition that is treatable much like diabetes.... I don't really think of these things as part of an initial hello on a dating site
I think if you mention mental illness, you are limiting yourself to people with similar challenges. That's just the way it goes.
That's something that you talk to someone about down the line after you've gotten to know them, after you've seen if it's developing into something. It's not catfishing or deceptive. Nobody ever tells everything about themselves up front.
You don't even know if you'll like the person until you get to know them, and details about yourself come out as you get to know each other.
You might try "meetup" groups/activities in your area instead of just Online dating. So you can meet actual people to go and talk to and interact with and not just a computer screen.
