Abilify has been a Lifesaver for me! And weight Loss, not gain. (YaY)

boy am i glad to hear about weight loss i still need to lose about 20lbs and it would be nice if this would help

I'M not n or c. Was on this stuff for about 2 years. Ablify- confusion found it heard to leave the house. Shakes unable to write. Twitching unable to hold anything for fear of dropping it. Vision problens could not drive at night. Started wearing glass at night. Wanted to stay in bed hard to get up. Dr just gave me more pills to fixs the sides effects. Stopped takeing them. Took about 6 months to get back to normal. All but the vision.

I didn't put on weight on it.

I know how you feel 100%. I came off depakote and lost 30 lbs, tegretol almost killed me and now i'm going back Tuesday to try a new med. I'm bullemic, and it doesn't help when the med makes me gain weight. It just opens up a whole new can of worms, or butterflies, or pandora's box....whatever. Thanks for letting me know about abilify, now I can try to avoid it.

I lost weight on abilify and lamictal.

i wasn't on abilify long enough to know. But my pdoc said it was a weight neutral. My sis said geodon helped her lose weight.
