I would go with the bob because I think it would be really flattering on you.

l think go for the bob and feather it onto your face like christa and maybe go for a dramatic colour change too why not go darker

I could go darker too while I am at it. I don't really look good in dark brown had it done before. But a dark red really looks good on me. And the hubby loves dark red. When he met me I was a burgundy and he couldn't tell I was a blonde because I have dark eyebrows.

Keep the votes coming I will check them when I am done reading at school. I have to leave now but when I get done reading chapter one for this week I will go to the calc lab and sign back on and check all of my votes.

I would keep your hair long and color it burgandy. I usually use burgandy myself, that or black. I can pull off both. I think it would look good on you.

I think going with the long hair first would be the best option, at least for a couple of weeks. If after two or three weeks you still want the bob then go for it.

Remember... wherever you land your first layer is where the eyes will go first! you do not want it to draw attention to less symmetrical or less attractive features... if you have nice eyes, show it with a side sweep if you have nice lips let your first layer drop to there.

layer out the bottom so you can curl it or mess it up blow dry it forward toward your face like vicky said and so on. you need to break up your hair, it is drawing too much attention to other features and not flattering your positive ones.

I hate perms... i have seen very few great ones and at best they are uneven from root to end. I would do some lowlights and highlights instead. throw some bright blond around your face and right behind it a darker slice or even some auburn...

i charge 95 for highlights (well 65 if we are only doing a partial) 55 for colour and 45 for cut... :)

I would say a bob with an angle into your face to flatter it. I second going darker - especially for winter.

A wavy perm would look awesome!

You are blessed with a round face like me. So you want to accentuate the top and bottom of long hair. Bobs aren't great for that since they tend to accentuate the middle of the face, unless it goes down to under your chin.

If your hair is dyed, I wouldn't even think about a perm. Too much damage. But if you do, make sure it is a "loose perm", or wave perm, with larger curls. The super permed look is not really "in" right now.

Update: more votes were for longer hair than shorter hair so I guess I won't get the bob. I might get my hair dyed darker instead there weren't that many votes for a perm. There were more votes for the long hair though. The one comment about my round face and accentuating it with the longer hair. My mother in law doesn't have the burgundy unfortunately but does have the dark red. She let me look in only one of her color books and told me i had to choose out of just those colors. There's a dark red so I just might do the cameron diaz look with darker hair. I don't know how i would be able to achieve that look though.

I might pick up a burgundy at the store and ask her to dye it with that. That could be an option as well.

If you want dramatic go for the bob, the wave wouldn't be a real dramatic change. I think either would be ok.

I personally think long layers with burgundy would look wonderful

beware of burgundy over blond... i have seen it go everywhere from lavender to pink to orange. especially with box colors, they all contain 20 vol peroxide and no natural to balance the lack of blue and red in your base color... if you have a stylist doing this, stick to the professional colour...

the cameron diaz is easy to style the side sweep is easy too... start blow drying at the base the opposite direction of where it will end up then when bangs are almost dry take large round brush and blow them sideways to the direction you want them to go, hit with hairspray when done and voila... side sweep!
