call an appliance repair or sales place (preferably one that repairs or sells your brand of dishwasher) and aske them -- as well as what he should use. If you have an owner's manual, it may say in there...your concerns are well founded, as bathroom cleaner is obviously not intended for surfaces that may come in contact with consumtion.
I can't remember the name of the stuff, but I can remember a product sold on TV that you can run through your coffee maker, dip your shower head in it, etc. and it is perfectly safe.
This is a prime example of one of my biggest complaints -- and generally speaking I think this happens most often with men treating women this way, although it certainly does happen the other way around, too. But when someone is emotionally vulnerable, we seem to attract the "blind blamers" who have not a wit of common sense, do potentially if not outright dangerous things like this, and blame it on the person who is emotionally weak. Of COURSE that is going to blow your top!!!!
People like your husband, in my opinion, are both emotioally and rationally detatched --- probably to the degree that their counterparts, like you and I, are wounded and emotionally raw and over sensitive. I suspect that is why we are attracted to them. For the life of me, I don't know how to break free from and overcome this obstacle, when I never seem to be able to heal!!! ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!
But I think, being aware of this phenomenon, does help you to be able to be more objective when your husband acts like a jerk, and not let him get to you.
When he does that, say your piece, take a deep breath, and go somewhere and scream into a pillow or something. Don't let him get the benifit of seeing you lose it -- that just reinforces his feeling that he is right. THen, seek the information you need to find the right answer to whatever the problem is --- and all the while, if you can manage it, realize you might be wrong. That will help you not blow your cool.
Hope something there makes sense and helps!!!
Seriously, I agree with the white vinegar approach...
Princess, if anybody can understand how things like that can get to you, honey, I can relate to your plight. I can get all discombobulated, but I see your point. It would scare me to death if somebody used that in my dishwasher. So you are right, but still, try to relax a little. You have every right to be concerned, but don't let it get your blood pressure up. That doesn't help. Now if I could just learn to take my own advice, LOL!
Didn't he do this a couple of months ago?
obay your husband
try to make him happy
think thought s like what can I do to make him like me more
OkOK I know thats allot of bs but hey A guy that likes to do the dishes thats pretty cool
My wife thinks she has a magic sink thats where she puts her dishes usually dirty and then finds them put up and clean the next morn
It will also mess up the water cycle system. Tell your brillant husband that if you need a few bucks for some generic dish machine soap I will give it to you. We will just pass it through the monitors when we are very manic.
