Today marks the two-year anniversary of when I got my dog from the rescue he is a Dalmatian Russell the thing is is that he goes to the bathroom in a certain spot spot in the kitchen well I thought of a way to kind of fix that make him go potty on a pee pad and the exact spot but I don't want him necessarily the think it's good for him to do that any advice any of you animal lovers out there think I should just continue to try to take him out scheduled time a day just food for thought the reason I thought of this is because I was watching him while my mom was away and I had mentioned something to my boyfriend cuz he does the same for his dogs and he has six dogs I love my dog and there's a reason God made him the way he is any advice would be nice

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Maybe block off that area in some way.... By 2 years old he has control unless there's a medical problem …. Have you checked with your vet to make sure there isn't a medical problem?
Praise him when he goes potty outside and maybe give him a treat
In addition to the measures you mentioned, I use crate training and odor removal. If your dog is not crate trained, that might be a good place to start. I've crate trained older dogs and even they don't take long into the training before the dog starts to treat it like a bed. My dogs get uppity with me if I take their bed away from them. My dog thinks her bed puts the woof in a road trip. No stinky motel carpet!!! Yay!!!
There are quite a few good products in the pet stores that remove odors well enough that not even my nosiest puppers can find that spot again. However. . . In the case of a habit spot, it takes more than odor control. For a few days before I remove the odor, I set the crate as close to that spot as I can. After a few days of going straight from their favorite pee spot to outside, they no longer remember it as a pee spot.
Okay, okay. . . Putting dog-whisperer-wannabe back in her cage now. Good girl.
