I mostly think in my senses. When I hear a bad idea, my nostrils fill with nasty aromas. When someone tries to help me see the light, my eyes feel like they are staring down SWAT search light. When my husband complains about his Honey Do list, I get the sensations of a big green melon being squeezed over my head. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
Translating these sensory thoughts to words is... Profoundly limiting. My words often come out so metaphorical that no one understands me. When I attempt to revise the translation it keeps going further and further into la la land.
Any one else get lost in metaphor?

It also comes in handy for communicating with folks whose language I do not know. Not having to trust words so much is a big part of what I love about foreign travel.
