It is rainy here as a cold front passes thru. High today of 60 and I am freezing. Us native Floridians freeze in anything under 75. Tomorrows high is 51 I will be bundled up like an eskimo.....

Where I am in the South we didn't get snow just thunderstorms. It is cold today though!. I am glad you got snow.

Becky, I know what you mean, I'm in Northern Iowa and we got 15 inches, sustained winds of 40 mph and now the temp is 5 degrees. We are headed below zero tonight. Wind Chill Advisory out for the whole area. It's simply a mess, but like you said, gotta love it, it's Iowa.

It's pouring rain here. Bummer. I'm watching the Patriots play in Chicago though. Plenty of snow there.

Is is just rainy here in the southeast (Virginia). Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s next week and dipping into the teens at night. BRRRRR!!!!!

I had to read this. I was wondering why it was even a topic for discussion. I am so northern Alberta after another 10 long years here, I forget that there are places where it is not winter 7 months a year. It has been snowing every day for a week now. But that is good. Because at least the temp is not down in the -30's and -40's. (That is the same in F and C). Better snow than cold. It went up to
-11 C. (12 F). That is quite comfortable.

So snow started late this year - Well, Oct. We have a driveway that is 130 feet long and hubby has to shovel it. It is gravel, and it takes a while to get it packed enough to use the snow blower. We are planning all the family ski trips right now. The ones, where I sit at the bottom of the hill and read books and listen to my ipod. I used to love skiing, pre RA.

So in April, when it is snowing, I will post again. When the rest of you are planting gardens and tanning. OK, I am bitter. We can't even make snowmen or snowballs, because it is so cold the snow won't stick together. At least it is not wind and cold much yet. And snow tires. We have 3 cars not counting my husband's pet wreck collection of 3 cars he is putting into one. So that is 6 cars times 4 sets of tires. 24 extra tires and rims in the garage. He gets the rims, so he doesn't have to remount them and balance them every winter.

We won't even talk about sliding through intersections and the snow removal budget. I'm done.

I'm in Chicago where it is snowing and supposed to be driving home to Maryland where it will be apparently snowing or at least sleet on the roads.

If it started snowing here for christmas I'd be screaming for someone to wake me up...
