southern Ontario was shut down for 4 days last week...got 4 feet of snow. We got about a foot today...I don't ever remember school being canceled due to the snow when I was a youngung 30 years ago. But I do remember the pipes in the school bursting it was so cold so we had to melt snow for water but we all still went to school.....lol

....had moose meat sandwiches for lunch that day too (goes with the snow water kind of nicely)

The kids here have already had 2 snow days....wimps.

They really shouldn't cancel high school as a lot of kids come on snow-mobiles anyways. They keep their helmets in the office because they are too big for the lockers. It's kind of cute to go in there and see all the helmets lined up on the filing cabinets.

You gotta love winter if you live in Canada.

yes what is with this snow day thing, l grew up in the country snow was knee deep sometimes if the buses didn't run l walked to school l think l had two snow days in secondary school when the furnace didn't work and one snow day in junior school for the same reason.

We never had snow days where I'm from as well. You just had to brave it and trek through the snow to school.

I wish it would snow here though, damn this tropical rain forest heat. All it ever does is rain, day in and day out.

Came up to Soss's last night to watch movies and the shit was so bad decided to ride the couch instead of trudging home. Just came back from going outside to smoke a bowl and tho for now it has stopped it looks like we got a few inches OH HAPPY HAPPY fucking JOY JOY seriously this better be the one and only snow storm of the year


Snow days? LOL we didnt get many of them growing up but by the time the girls were of school age they seemed to give them out even if the sky was just threatening to dump

Yay! Snow! Sometimes being agoraphobic is a blessing as I can enjoy the snow outside without having to get in it. We got 3-5 inches here in middle TN and it rarely snows in December here. We are supposed to get more on my birthday in a few days. Yay!

Was just reading a state of emergency has been declared for south-western ontario...300 motorists are trapped between London On. and Sarnia On. Emergency crews are working round the clock. This is the same area that got 4 feet of snow last week...I hope no-one is seriously injured and all are rescued. Prayers needed....
