I have one week left in my apt and then I will be homeless.
I have been laid off for a week now and have no money to pay the rent.
I have a friend I met online who is going to let me store my stuff in her
shed. I have never actually met her, will go over there tomorrow and meet.
I will be sleeping in my car, it's so hot out it's gonna be hell. I knew this
day would come. I was hoping to make it through the summer but no
such luck. I will be off of DS for a long while, maybe forever.
Thanks to all who were there to offer a listening ear and sympathy.
you are all much appreciated. I will be here for another week, after that
I will be gone. I wish you all the best, take care of each other.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Salvation Army ?
Drive to the greater LA area, more choices for Homeless Shelters ?
God....I am feeling so helpless
I would also go to a shelter... They have social workers that can help you to move forward... Are you seeing a pdoc??
Your doctor can also refer you to a social worker to help with housing... Bless you

This might be a beginning my friend, in my life - shit always gets worse before better!
This is and article "Hope and Caring' from Priority magazine from 2006.
I hope the overnight housing for the mentally ill is still in existence.
Wish I could do more.
Now!! Stomping my foot when I say, YOU DESERVE to have a peaceful and comfortable life. You have earned it!! Please find yourself an advocate. Tell yourself, "I am a wonderful person and I deserve for someone to help me!!" I don't care where you find help just do it.
You cannot stay in the heat. Go to a mental health center, women's shelter, call everyone in the phone book you can think of, call your governor, a church or pastor. I'm serious. You don't stop until someone can help keep you from falling through the cracks.
I will be praying for an answer for you. But, you have to push. And push and push. BELIEVE that you deserve help. Be like a dog with a bone and don't let go until you get results. Do it for you - because you deserve it.
I'm talking tough to you because I want you to believe you deserve better than you are getting. I'll be thinking of you until we hear from you. I just know something is going to happen for you.
I can help make phone calls for you if you would like. Just message me. I don't let go until I get the results I want. And, right now I want a solution for you.
Big hug sweetie. You are an honorable and upstanding person.
Hugs and prayers for you!!!!!!
Obviously, you're not an idiot, though. You know if you have family or friends who can help.
But I know from personal experience that sometimes we can become so overwhelmed by this disease and being so exhausted, overwhelmed, scared...that things just start to blur together and in some instances become a bit beyond our reach. I think people are just trying to offer up suggestions or ideas in case it can spark a thought that might help you see your way to a solution.
Just let us know if we can help you in some way.
Love and prayers for you, friend. xoxo
Hugs of support.
