First of all, I know that being 28 means I am still in my youth so :p
When I was a teen back in high school, I somehow convinced my mother (also bipolar) to let me ride ON our vehicle instead of in it!! We had a van and I would jump on the hood, hold on, and tell her, "Let's GOOOO!" and she would take off up our driveway that was about 1/8 of a mile long. Our gravel driveway. This actually happened several times for a couple of weeks in my invincible youth. It was fun until I told her she was not going fast enough! She accelerated faster and I had actually had no problem holding on....until she turned without slowing down and launched me through the air. I only remember my grip slipping and me flying (I enjoyed flying, lol) but then I woke up in bed. My small, skinny mother apparently used her mega-mom adrenaline strength to pick my 160-170lb body and haul me inside and threw me on my bed. When I woke up the first thing she said was, "Are you alright?! Don't tell your father!" And I actually told her I wanted to try again but that she shouldn't turn so fast....while I was still in bed barely able to move. My father still doesn't know.
Several of my "I am invincible" stories end with pain and sometimes getting knocked unconsciousness. HAHA! The sad part? I sometimes think that I can still do those things and be alright as long as I do it "right"
TL;DR - My mom threw me off a van and knocked me out!!

Life has been really hard this past year. I'm really feeling down and alone. I can't talk to my family about my depression and anxiety their not very understanding about it. It's really hitting me since my mother passed a few months ago, plus stress from having to eventually move. Also having my niece coming around who suffers bipolar and refuses to take medication for it. Its been...

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

I THOUGHT you looked familiar!!!!
i stopped because a lot of my best friends said i put them on really bad trips they got so freaked-out, but me, i was having a gas.
All things are a little wild down here. Guess that's why it's hard to tell the difference between culture and mania sometimes, lol.
riding subway cars sounds like something i would do, if we had a subway in my old hometown.
true story, drunk off my @$$, i did ride an actual oil well pump, a cow (backwards...BAD times), and many, many trains.
no subway though...dang. missed out.
One more, my boyfriend - same one and me went to a 70's party. Hammered!!! Left but we weren't ready to go home, bowling in full 70's bell bottoms hippy style. Polyester so tight my poor boyfriend had no stuff left. Anyway, got in huge trouble for one throwing two balls down one lane at the same time and he split his pants. Me, slid halfway down the ally and fell in the gutter. Got kicked out and moved on to mini golf.
If Richard can admit to wearing a rain coat with nothing on underneath.............. I'm just going to have to think of something to add to this Thread ...... I'm thinking ........ I'm trying to keep it at least PG Rated ....... Nope....All I got is R Rated ...not sharing
:)
Jumping off the top of the water shed because I was too scared to climb back down the stairs. Long way down and it made your swim suit go up your but.
Volkswagon mud sliding and hill jumping at the quarries. (Has anyone ever tried to have sex in a Volkswagon?) Nuff said.
The boys, hair styles, mini skirts and boots all just part of everyday life of a 70's child.
It was totally enclosed ....except for that itty bitty square window in the door
I hope I haven't disappointed any of my friends..ya know, I'm used to being a Goody Two Shoes around here
