Sunday I went to bed and woke up three hours later. So I decide to get up and start cleaning my apartment, which is something I only do when I get manic. Monday I never went to sleep I cleaned all through the night and morning. I finally fell asleep Tuesday night I fell asleep the last time I saw a copy things like 7:45pm and my cell phone rang at 10:24pm. after that I was wide awake. seeing as I had to call the police to help me get into my car because I fell on the ground, I have MS, but I seriously think it was because I was so exhausted. It's Wednesday night 11:27 and I just took a bunch of Benadryl because I'm out of my Ambien.
the problem is this is my first month back on my meds. I've been off of them since June due to insurance issues. I will never have insurance issues ever again because I cannot live a normal life without my psychiatric meds.
the only time I sleep through the night is if I'm seriously ill. That has been the way it was since the data was born. My mother to doesn't sleep the whole night through. But when I tell her about me not sleeping for 24 hours and having five hours of sleep in 48 hours. she just starts talking about her sleep patterns in like that might not a Big deal. She also told me a couple months ago that she had sleep apnea machine but she doesn't use it anymore. Could that be why she's not sleeping through the night, maybe I need to go to sleep study.
I have to get in my head that she's not going to take my bipolar diagnosis is an illness I have no control over. I cannot live life without my psychiatric meds. So now I have to learn to not mention things to her because there'll always be discounted. I forgot I was diagnosed bipolar in 2007 in a sheer I spent 11 days in the psych unit. so bipolar is all new to me and I still need to learn to recognize my actions and what is causing them.
I think I will turn on a white noise machine money on the Internet and see if that helps me falsely tonight because I cannot live like this much longer.
Somebody tell the Sandman to sprinkle some on me!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I'm sending the Sandman your way sweetie.. I hope you get some rest tonight..x
Yet I can't bring myself to oust his condemning discontent... Middle aged dependants are... Confusing... Can we divorce adult offspring? Humans are the only species on Earth that allow their adult progeny to return to the nest.
Still praying. There has to be an answer. For all of us.
I think when I go to my PCP at the end of this month I'm going to ask her about a sleep study. Maybe the reason I can't sleep is something other than family history. not really family history, but the similarity I have to my mother. I think there's no harm in trying to find out that it is just me, or something else medical.
Benadryl wasn't working this time. My mom bought me a bottle of 400 Benadryl at BJ's wholesale, and I'm afraid I'm going through them like candy. I know that I have an extremely high drug tolerance. Ambien doesn't work, Ambien and Benadryl together don't work, I would say something to my psychiatrist but I haven't been back on my meds consistently for a while due to financial reasons and not health insurance. I have a new insurance plan starting in January so I will go through the next couple months and discuss it in 2013 with him.
@arfie ~ I am 37 but sometimes just need my mom to listen and for her to say something like happy talk to the doctors. I just need to handle my personal health issues with my doctors. It's kind of like when you were kidding and you were hovering over toilet, I had no idea why I would call my mother for her to watch me vomit but it only stopped after she finally got to the point when we were older of saying and what you want me to do about it. just like I got over calling my mother when I was puking in the toilet, I have to get to the point of dealing with health issues with my doctors I don't need her to take me to the pediatrician anymore that's for sure. I think if kids when you're not feeling well we just still want our mommies.
The one thing I have to say is that when I'm manic my apartment gets so much cleaner. I've been in this serious depressive state since my boyfriend and I had one fight in April and we broke up, and in less than six months he got married. My apartment started to look like I should've been on the show Hoarders. I brought pictures of my apartment to my therapists and she asked me if I was a hoarder, I just think it's in severe depression. The good thing is I have a better set of pictures of my apartment to bring her on Tuesday.
Fingers crossed the mania is over!!!!!!
my coming to terms with my bipolar disorder is still all very new to me.

A couple of years ago I had an episode that landed me in the hospital for 2 weeks. I just recently moved to another town and had a new pdoc, so while I was trying to get life back in order with new meds my new pdoc ordered many tests,
I found out I had sleep apnea, amongst other health issues, and was sent to a sleep clinic where they took further tests, seems my lack of sleep for years was due to sleep apnea and I started on a sleep pac machine immediately,
I still wake up during the night but feel much more refreshed in the morning. I think you should follow up and go to a sleep clinic, you know, being in the hospital is never a good time, but I have to say that last time probably saved my life.
All the best to you.
My dad said to me BLACK PEOPLE don't get bipoalr. I had to laugh at him. I said yeah that's what took so long for doctors to diagnose my MS. I wasn't a women of Northern Europeanan ancestry! I don't like to be every one else.
I guess dad's never going to believe I'm bipolar, just like he belived it was Sara Lee danishes and choclt pudding that caused her diabetes. My dad is in the land of denial.
@Pulpit ~ I think it's worth looking into!. My mom said she had one but doesn't need it any more, it might be because she is not using the machine!
