I am just writing this now, as I learn and grow in my journey with illness, ,so as to be a sign post to all of you struggling out there. I have thought this battle with illness would be a progression. Well it has been
and not in the way that I thought. I am learning to have a greater respect and patience for illness and maybe this makes me understand even more that we are not always in the driver's seat when it comes to our health. It's a rough tough road and though I know we all wish we could have control over ourselves -understanding that we don't and having the courage and fortitude to do both what is right for us and to carry on as best we can in our lives and responsibilities is essential.
I am writing this because I woke up this morning and realized my own fallibility. This was because for some reason I unraveled in a big way - and felt psychotic and afraid when I was driving afraid to go to work too. I know we are incredibly short staffed at work right now - but I knew it was more important to take the day off. It was tempting to think this a failure on my part but I know it isn't. I needed to take care. I am feeling just frustrated but also just more informed in my own compassion for my friends struggling. It's been a hard thing to recognize and learn.
Thanks all for the support DS friends!!
Peace,
Mark

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

I think your realization that BP is an on going process shows you are making great strides to remission.
The ups and downs are all a part of this disorder, but we can reconcile ourselves to it.
Accepting our limitations and celebrating our successes .
