Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have been sober for 6 years. I went to visit my family in MA. It was hard to see the family drinking one drink after another. I wanted to go home. I tried to explain to my step-Dad how I was feeling.
I told my sister how I feeling and she said "are you being dramatic " What?? Why would I do that? She said " because you are board" I would never, what a crazy thing to say.
Every since I was dx with bipolar I had to change many habits. I moved to another state 13 years ago. I would go home once a year. My Mom and step-Dad visited me once. No one else has visited. They don't know the new Susie. Do you feel you have changed since the dx? Thank you

My anxiety got worse and my anxiety is running my life. I avoid unnecessary people and situations that will trigger my anxiety. This diagnosis didn't change me but the emotions and instability caused me to make changes. It sucks but that's how it is
The behaviour I find is hard to be around as well.... And people who do party too much want to be around people that do....sigh.... Big hug sweetie... xo
To be honest i think being diagnosed changed me, it helped because i knew i wasnt alone, answered tons of questions, but also it seems to be on my mind more, like pressure of some sort...
