Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
No-you don't get one. I'm sorry you don't get that luxury, but that is exactly what it is.
I know people who are getting kicked out of homes and going hungry. It sounds like your husband might know of these people too.
There are a lot of things I have gone without. We were the new poor before the "New Poor" was in. We were a few years early.
*smile*
*painful but dealing with it*
Please feel blessed that (no honeymoon) is the only thing you are losing at the moment.
You shouldn't feel unloved, you should be glad to have a man with a level head.
Broke doesn't care whether we are bipolar or not. Broke don't give a darn!
Maybe oneday things will turn around and you will get a vacation. Maybe things will turn worse and you will be glad you don't have some silly honeymoon debt added to your massive amount already.
Sorry times are tough all around. They may even get worse. Try thinking about your future past one day and you may realize your husband isn't a cheapskate but reasonable.

Back to reality!
I hear Iraq is just delightful at that time of year x
if you both talked about it and are both involved in the finances and planned it out, i'm so sorry things didn't work out. maybe you can work on a plan for one down the road.
however, i don't want to poke where i'm not sure what the situation is, but you sound surprised, which makes me think you are not involved in the finances with your husband...which i would urge you to get involved in, and then this kind of thing wouldn't be a surprise. just something i think all gals should do in a relationship...keeps things more balanced, i think...anyway...
also sort of strange that you put it as, "i don't get to go on one," instead of "we don't get to go on one."
i'm sure this is coming from your frustration over the situation...but a honeymoon is all about being together (?) and it sounds like you are worlds apart right now...
again...if you aren't involved in the finances...i would get involved...and assert yourself as an equal partner...so that you don't just get 'told' things...which i agree would be very frustrating...
and that way...like i said...you can both talk over the possibility of rescheduling this when it makes more financial sense...because going when you are in financial dire straights...would probably be a further strain on both of you eventually...
but yeah. don't get 'told' what you can and can't do...
get involved. be involved. involve yourself. whatever. and then you can see for yourself what kinds of things it makes sense to cut back on or spend on to make BOTH of your dreams and goals come true.
marriage is a compromise on many levels. and money can be one of the most stressful. but. if you love each other and are able to talk things like this through with that love and a bit of grace and understanding, you can work through it.
much love and luck, xx, beep.
A honeymoon isn't everything. If you married someone you love, you should be able to make the most of your time at home.
